Burgundy Dream Falls

Thunderstorms brought extreme rainfall to Nova Scotia around Halifax area. Our house was almost hit by the sudden waterfalls from the backyard hill. The water was very fast and in no time we had a pool in the backyard. If we had left it unnoticed, it would have flooded through the front door. We built […]

Prince Edward Island – Confederation Bridge

There are two ways to get to Prince Edward Island (PEI) from Halifax: by car over a bridge or by ferry, and Charlottetown, the capital of PEI, is about a 3-hour drive from our home in New Brunswick. There is a bridge between New Brunswick and PEI called Confederation Bridge, which is 12.9 km long. […]

Cavendish Bike Trail on PEI

Anne of Green Gables

The Inn used to be a Minister’s Offices. They renovated beautifully into the B&B and it is decorated with the antique arts and wood works. […]

Gazebo on the deck by the lake

Sam made a gazebo on our deck by the lake. We ordered the gazebo, but came with the parts. Each part was not very heavy, but the process of attaching the roof after the pillars were erected was not easy.

Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo

The Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo is a marching show by military bands and civilian performers. It has taken place annually in Nova Scotia’s capital, Halifax since 1979. I have performed as a Canadian Forces military reserved musician again. We had 2 weeks intense rehearsals and 5 shows in 4 days. There were performers from […]

Spring has come

Spring Comes Slowly in Nova Scotia. The monochrome world is gradually changing into a colourful one. I like wildflowers because they bloom every year even if I do nothing.

Flag Raising Ceremony

On May 6, I joined the Stadacona Band of the Canadian Navy Band to perform at the flag raising ceremony commemorating the coronation of King Charles, and I was very proud to be a part of this historic event after 70 years.
