Cabot Trail in Cape Breton

The Cabot Trail, a highway and scenic roadway in northern part of Cape Breton Island is 298 km (185 mi) in length and passes through Cape Breton Highlands National Park. We couldn’t do any hiking due to the bad weather, but we still enjoyed a gorgeous autumn view.

Angry Atlantic Ocean at Louisbourg wharf. Louisbourg Nova Scotia, a national historic site is located on eastern Cape Breton Island. The rainbow connecting the wild Atlantic waves and the fleeting blue sky was very impressive.

Lake William Trail

Lake William Trail will be a 8.4 kilometer out and back trail, and currently about 4 km completed. It is located the other side of the lake, and the entrance is about 7km from our place. It’s a lovely nice walk, and you see the wildlife.

Cape Split Provincial Park

Cape Split Provincial Park is a 447-hectare natural environment park located in Scots Bay, Kings County. Cape Split hiking trail is about 6.5 km one way (13km return). The trail opens out to a look-off 60 meters above a rugged coast of the Bay of Fundy.

Crystal Crescent Beach

Tropical Island? The scenery is unlike the northern sea. The silky white sandy beach and the emerald green sea. Behind the sandy beach is a forest where you can go for a trail run. It’s a 40-minute drive from our house.

Scots Bay

We visited Bay of Fundy again. This time, we went to Cape Split Provincial Park, Blomidon Provincial Park, and saw a great view from Canning The Lookoff. Long drive for about 300 km.
