Burntcoat Head Park in Spring

Embark on a journey just 80 km north of the cozy confines of Burgundy Dream B&B, and you’ll find yourself at the breathtaking Burntcoat Head Park, home to a natural marvel that commands attention worldwide – the highest recorded tides on the planet! Imagine, these tides reach an astonishing average of 55.8 feet (17.0 meters) in height, a spectacle that defies the imagination.

Arriving just in time for the evening low tide, a mere hour before the clock struck 6, we stood witness to nature’s grand theater. The landscape gradually unveiled itself before our eyes. Each passing moment was a mesmerizing dance of water and earth, as if the very heartbeat of the Earth pulsed through the shifting sands and emerging cliffs.
