Burgundy Dream Falls

Thunderstorms brought extreme rainfall to Nova Scotia around Halifax area. Our house was almost hit by the sudden waterfalls from the backyard hill. The water was very fast and in no time we had a pool in the backyard. If we had left it unnoticed, it would have flooded through the front door. We built a dike with logs and gravel to alter the flow of water so that water flowing out of the mountains would run off the side of the house. The water level of Lake William was unbelievably high, and the deck that Sam made sunk under the water!
