Shubenacadie Canal Trail. This trail used to have the inclined planes constructed as part of the 114 km Shubenacadie Canal, which operated between 1861 and 1871. It was used for towing barges loaded with building suppliers, coal and food and those inclined planes were replace by the Intercolonial Railway.

The Salt Marsh Trail. This most popular trail is part of an old train railroad that has been transformed into a trail. Hikers and bikers can challenge up to 19.5km round trip while enjoying the great salt marsh and beautiful panoramas.

Pockwock Falls Trail is about 30 minutes drive from our place. The trail is short and easy, but at the end of the trail we can enjoy the splendor of a waterfall. Lake William Trail will be a 8.4 kilometer out and back trail, and currently about 4 km completed. It is located the other side of the lake, and the entrance is about 7km from our place. It’s a lovely nice walk, and you see the wildlife.
