Ice Art in Nature

What a beautiful ice art of nature! After freezing rain, the ice flowers were glittering in the sunlight this morning. The neighbor’s cat who hadn’t come around during the winter, seemed to have arrived. I wonder if winter is coming to an end.

Lawrencetown Beach

We had a power outage this morning, so we decided to go outside. We went to see the wild ocean. The Lawrencetown Beach is about 30 minutes drive from Burgundy Dream Bed & Breakfast, but it took a little longer to drive on some icy roads. Along the coast, we could see the ice art […]

Frozen Waterfalls

Johnson River Falls trail where is about 15 minutes drive from our place. The trail is about 4.5km out and back. Nice and easy walk through the forest, but the trail is icy and slippery. At the end of the trail, you can find three water falls at Johnson River.

Museum in the forest

The snow that started falling yesterday evening was covered everywhere in the morning. We drove about 3 km to the entrance to the Portobello Connection trail on the other side of Lake William. As we walked along enjoying the snowy scenery, we found some unexpected artwork. It was like a museum in the forest. I […]
