Spring is here
If April defines spring, then Nova Scotia’s spring is notably chilly. Buds remain tightly closed, and the world is painted in hues of brown, devoid of green. If the blooming of flowers signifies spring, then spring arrives late in Nova Scotia. It’s not until May in our garden that the coltsfoot flowers unfurl and the magnolia buds begin to swell. Finally, the surrounding trees begin to burst into color, transforming the landscape into a verdant world in the blink of an eye.
