Polar Bear Swim

The New Year’s Day tradition of a polar plunge is slowly becoming a ritual.
Early in the morning, everything was blanketed in white, and even the water’s edge was frozen solid. By noon, the weather had shifted—rain began to fall, and the temperature crept up.
This year, no wetsuit. A true Real Canadian polar swim.
I lasted… about five seconds before surrendering. The water temperature? Apparently 0°C.
After the “swim,” I headed straight to a friend’s place for a well-earned sauna.
