A Happy New Year!

We are celebrating New Year’s Day with traditional Japanese new year dish-Osechi.
I prepared a simple New Year’s meal using whatever ingredients I could find. I was so happy to discover Japanese mochi at a newly opened Korean supermarket, which meant I didn’t have to make it from scratch. Sam even made ozoni for us.
On the 30th, I enjoyed temaki sushi with a friend, and on New Year’s Eve we had soba noodles and chirashi sushi.
