Autumn’s Little Visitors

A day off. After a string of consecutive music gigs finally came to a pause, a quiet moment at last arrived. Before I knew it, the neighborhood had already begun to take on the subtle hues of autumn.

I had planned to run for an hour today, but just 30 minutes in, a sharp pain in my foot forced me to slow down and walk the rest of the way home. It seems my insoles had finally given out.

In the front yard, a neighborhood cat was lounging as if it belonged to our family. Meanwhile, in the backyard, a mischievous raccoon was happily munching on my blackberries. Now I finally understood why my berries weren’t ripening — it turned out these little creatures were the culprits.

Wrapped in these small discoveries and the gentle touch of autumn, it was a peaceful, reflective day.
