Celebrating the Ship Hector’s Return

On July 12th, 2025, the iconic Ship Hector replica made its triumphant return to Pictou Harbour with a spectacular public launch. This restored square-rigged vessel, which symbolizes the beginning of Scottish immigration to Nova Scotia over 250 years ago, was celebrated with a grand relaunch event—complete with a powerful splash and stirring music. I had the honour of performing at this historic event alongside the Stadacona Band of the Royal Canadian Navy.
